Bill headed to Senate would increase minimum coverage requirements Drivers who carry the minimum insurance could see their premiums go up by $60 to $300 if the state Senate passes a bill to increase the coverage a vehicle owner must carry to protect others in case of an accident. The minimum level has not gone up in nearly 40 years.
